ok so i try again and now its successful, i am just using compiled version and using ubuntu 16.04 instead 14.04
but now seems its only have half speed than using blagominer, is that something i should do to maximize the speed? im using default config and my PC is 4 core and 8 gb ram
since this different topic, should i open new thread instead guys? thank you
0-100 The winner of the block does not take away nothing, only the proportional part like all the other miners in the pool.
50-50 The winner of the block wins 50% and the rest is shared among all the pool miners.
100-0 The winner of the block takes it all, it's as if he mined alone
Think it is so
@myim1974 The format of the file name is:
It's Account_field1_field2_field3 - so next file must be >= field1 + field2
Crypto Guru 0-100
Burst Team U.S.A. 0-100
Those three I recommend due to their legacy and hashing capacity. @mustangchefe and anyone with smallish capacity you will need to wait for the value of burst to surge for small amounts of coin to really appreciate your efforts perhaps to buy more capacity?
There's a plethora of second-hand disks for sale and or auction on eBay, amazon etc., new drives aren't essential because plots are written to disk once and read forever after by the miner so any hard disk would last beyond ordinary use.
New disks are best purchased from profits as a way to further invest and secondhand ones are ideal to get into the hash power..... and its less disappointing for beginners. like many or all other coins the block difficulty goes up due to mining popularity. THE POOLS I'VE RECOMMENDED ARE GOOD FOR MINERS UP TO 50TB and there are 50-50 pools for larger. those over 150tb i'd recommend the 100-0 pools or even solo mine.
I already used my one burst from burstnet faucet on the wrong thing. I need 1 burst to setup my reward recipient. please help. BURST-PY8T-XGRN-7ZEJ-93NQU . Will reimburse whoever with burst once i start getting rewards.
OK, I know how this happened. I had an account that I did not realize I had to activate, I created my initial plot based on that account. I then reinstalled as I had a firewall issue with the local wallet. I then created a new account and proceeded from there. This was a total newbie mistake. I have a decent understanding of the process now. If anyone needs help getting started, hit me up and I can help.
i think it goes up when it makes use of your plots but why it goes down? what is the connection quality reported by blago miner? you could be lagging over network perhaps due to geographical location? what is your cpu? ensuring the miner is only thing running on your pc will yield maximum benefit especially on slower networks but I found the same issue on that particular pool once so I switched to crypto guru less network hops to a pool means less latent much like gaming servers closer the better. Constantly refreshing the pool page messes with it too btw so best to leave it for a day then look at it. I mean its not gonna run away is it
the app called turboplotter9000 can check your plots to see if they are consistent that maybe that causes your share to lower?
@jretropie said in Intel Xeon 8180 - 150-200k nonces/min:
plotting speed probably even double if he use AVX2. (Notice that he use xplotter 1.0 only support avx.
good catch on that, I never checked to see if it put 1.1 in my plotting screen when I tried the AVX2 version but the performance difference between AVX is stunning, you're right he just might double his performance by getting the latest version...
now if only someone had direct contact with him to let him know, it might change his views on some things and get him even more excited for burst, so he does something other than make crazy hand gestures about it heh...
