BURST Faucet Challenge: How about a 100 BURST daily payout?

  • Please pardon my intrusion, but if some bitcoin faucets, for example, pay out 125 satoshi every 15 minutes, or even 4 000 satoshi hourly in some instances, yet the bitcoin mining processes are more complex and costly, why not have a BURST faucet with a 100 burst daily pay-out, or higher?

Even there again, it would take a lifetime (about 60 years) to reach just ONE bitcoin equivalent threshold! It would also take about 5 956 daily burst, depending on the exchange rate, to reach the same threshould within one year! Unless you are alternatively seriously engaged in other rigorous and vigorous activities, you most definitely do not want to wait that long to get just one bitcoin?!

I personally believe that if ever we are to keep up with, or get any closer to, other crypto-currencies, we most definitely have to step up the competition?

    Aiming high.

    Well...

the Burst Team's Faucet (faucet.burst-team.us) is to fund your wallet the first time so you can make an outgoing transaction, give your account a Name and change the pool 2 or 3 times. As you see there are no ads on that page too. So this faucet is not there to make people income. That was not the intention.

But I have a good message for you: The faucet code is public available: https://github.com/de-luxe/burstcoin-faucet Everybody can setup a Burst faucet with ads or other income ideas to provide a payout as high as possible.

    examples: faucet.burstcoin.info , faucet.burstcoin.pt

    @Ndabezitha

Currently i know of 4 faucets:

    http://faucet.burstcoin.pt/
    https://faucet.burstcoin.info/
    http://burstcoin.biz/faucet (running out of funds)
    http://faucet.burst-team.us:86/

Claiming with all ~35 BURST or more should be possible per day ...
But from my point of view, faucet should not replace mining, just help getting started.

Feel free to host you own faucet with maybe higher payouts:
    https://github.com/de-luxe/burstcoin-faucet/releases/tag/0.3.2-RELEASE

Always remember that BURST had no ico/ipo or premine ...
so all BURSTs given away by faucets are donations of users / miners.

Best would be a faucet with high payouts, that is like most BTC faucets funded by adds.

  • @Ndabezitha if you made a Burst faucet plastered (covered) in ads and forked out burst to the visitors, you would make a lot of people happy and help burst on the exchanges

@ddos that is actually what I am trying to say. I would do it myself if I had time this month... but my day has only 24 hours, too. ;)

I'm happy to advice anyone who wants to run this small 'business'. I guess it would be very very popular!

  • Thank you all for your input. I trust it shall benefit a few other people as well.

  • how much can you earn with ads on one faucet ?
considering Googleads are not allowed on Free domains :p

Because I wont consider CPC here & would only go for CPM

  • i would be curious to the above question as well , not for making anything just to see how much it would run me to keep a decent faucet going i don't know much about sites or those in general but determination and it helps to know a couple of people , short version , i want to get my sleeping to work in burst hit me up i've already invested into assets and looking for something else i can dip into thank you in advanced

  • @Ndabezitha I agree with you in stepping up the competition. But I'm not sure that high-payout faucets are really going to make much of a difference when it comes to BURST. They really just perform an enabling function, you know, a means to switch pools etc without having to spend from your own wallet. I don't see them as a way of 'earning' coins or attracting other people into the network, but perhaps I'm wrong. To me, PoC sparked my interest in Burst, and it's this idea that you'll have to sell before you see those exchange rates go up!

@Castiel Unless it a really popular faucet, not as much as you'd think. https://faucet.burstcoin.info/ is earning about 325 Burst/Day. I doubt it'd even cover the faucet running costs, but I cover those and the advertising goes towards the Burstize asset.

  • @haitch @luxe I keep coming back here to find the faucet list. Y'all should put a button on top of this forum site so people can find it easier.

  • @Ndabezitha The idea of faucet.burstcoin.pt is that but we are in the first phase... You see that no ad is showed for now because i am waiting for google acceptance in google Adsense first, that's the reason for the low payout that afterall is the minimum acceptable for now, my intentions are after Adsense acceptance i will rise a bit the payout and after the first received payout from them i intend to rise the payout significantly but i didn't have funds of my own right now to fund a good paying faucet, so this have to be maked by phases...
@ddos In burstcoin.pt you find in the top menu a button that lids you to the faucet... I was thinking in do one page with the list of all BURST faucet's there too... but meanwhile the list that i know about is this:

@luxe said in BURST Faucet Challenge: How about a 100 BURST daily payout?:

  • I guess all BURST faucet payouts are now sadly declining? :-(

  • @Ndabezitha I lowered the payment of faucet.burstcoin.pt because i'm running out of funds to support it and the faucet is not generating an income sufficient big to pay for the faucet but i'm working in a way of make the faucet auto sufficient, that was the reason i had to lower the payment of faucet.burstcoin.pt ...

I will rise it as soon as i can make it auto sufficient, by my math this can be reached if i had 1.5 million Burst (for the 3 Burst payment i have right now) invested in assets but i don't have that money so i can't do it right now, this should be possible in a future...

I believe the way of creating a auto sufficient faucet pass through have enough assets in there that with the dividends payed can be enough to support the faucet witch is easier to calculate with assets that pay in a daily basis...

  • Tell me, what is the difference between a faucet and some pool that giveaway free coins?

I know, using a faucet and get some coins from it does not require anything except a BURST wallet.

On my pool, every day I give out BURST coins but only for the miners who using my pool. That is the only requirements.

I guess whoever is interested in BURST coin have at least a small spot on their HDD that can be used for mining.

In Faucets, I don't think anyone would give high amount of coins due to the reasons @gpedro stated as an example.

I welcome any miners regardless of their Plots size.

  • @Jumper hi do you accept noobs like me... I just got my plots and mining ready... really got a hard time starting to mine first I got problems changing reward recipients and windows 10 is giving me tons of problems.... but I'm good now... I'm starting with 1 plus terabytes .... and how do I change to your pool?

  • @evilfire As I have said, everyone is welcome. To change the pool (to any pool) first you have to change the reward recipients using http://127.0.0.1:8125/rewardassignment.html from your system where you have yor wallet running. You can find more info here: http://pool.dogeserver.net:8081/howto.html

  • @gpedro What is happening to faucet.burstcoin.pt lately?

  • @Ndabezitha Hi there... I've not being much online lately and just saw the faucet is out of funds right now... I don't have a way of funding the faucet for now but i can guarantee i am trying all i can to make possible to be up and running again ASAP... I am really sorry about this but as i said before the Ad revenue it's not enough to maintain the faucet running, i really believe the way of the faucet be autosuficient is using assets in the faucet wallet... As soon as i can have it running again i will keep you guys posted x(
