Why does it take so long to respond



  • SORRY to say ,but I think you need more admin or support to help answer questions or guide people especially newbies. Thank you to haitch and gpedro who tried to help me, but problems still not resolved and I am getting really frustrated trying to work this out.

    @Rich5000 no normally not more than 8 hours... you can do this:
    1- close your client (check in the tray!)
    2- go to db.burst-team.us and download that file...
    3- Then go to %AppData%\Roaming\BurstWallet\burst_db (AppData folder is hidden)
    4- export the downloaded files from the ZIP to this folder, when you are asked if you want to replace the existing files say Yes...

    @gpedro sorry mate I am a complete computer biff. I have two issues,
    [ERROR 1004] Your Burst account's reward recipient (RYUY-PCK8-JTJZ-HWWTF) does n
    ot match pool's account (7Z2V-J9CF-NCW9-HWFRY)
    You need change reward assignment and wait 4 blocks (~16 minutes)
    Then the issue with the block chain for local wallet.
    I got the online wallet to work I use the faucet to get coins every day.

    Just go to https://mwallet.burst-team.us:8125/rewardassignment.html leave the first two text boxes in blank, put your passphrase on the third box and the BURST-7Z2V-J9CF-NCW9-HWFRY on the 4th box then hit submit... If everything goes well you will receive a block of like 5 lines, you wait 4 blocks to pass by and you should be mining?!

    @Rich5000 Are you mining through the windows App right?
    When you click on mining it pop ups a message where you choose the pool you are getting in, there you have on the left side two buttons, one say change reward assignment and the other it's the same but to use when you get some error and it says there... try to do with that button should work... I gotta run pal, but i will help you when i come back in a few hours if this is not resolved yet...

  • I kind of agree with you. I recently googled searched the mining error code 1004. 52 hits on google showed up discussing this issue. It appears some never got it resolved and most likely quit. Majority of the time the response is,

    "use: https://wallet.burst-team.us:8125/rewardassignment.html - ignore first two fields, passphrase in third, pool address in fourth - submit. Should get 6-7 lines of code back, thats the confirmation. Wait 4 blocks, good to go."

    There are enough responses, from others with similar issues, to question if the default response really works with the Burst Wallet 1.2.6.

    I don't blame anyone yet I think the standard response doesn't seem to be working. Perhaps there is an error with the code of the client that causes errors? Maybe we are all just missing a step to get up and running? I don't know but I'll keep patient and see if my trouble shooting works out. Or, if I find a solution from an older post.

  • @gpedro yes I did, I put my passphrase in box 3, my passphrase is the series of words is that correct? Then I put the recipient address in the 4th box



  • @socialguy that is very unlickely try paste your passphrase and the recipient burst address in a notepad and make sure it has no spaces in the end and in the beggining then do the reward assignment with the button that i indicated and if it's not working use the other one below that says "Change" use only the last 2 two boxes (the ones that says Recipient and Passphrase) and you should get something like this :

  • @Rich5000 try put your passphrase and the recipient account of the pool you want to get in and make sure it has no spaces in the beggining and in the end... are you trying with the recipient account of the pool not yours right? (EU POOL: BURST-7Z2V-J9CF-NCW9-HWFRY)

  • @socalguy @Rich5000 the change button is for when you get error 5 but for my experience sometimes it solves other errors i can't explain why because i don't know the code and i'm not a dev...

  • your reward recipient is pointing to DE pool and you are trying to mine on EU pool, again you have to set the reward assignment to this address: BURST-7Z2V-J9CF-NCW9-HWFRY... or you can just start your miner pointing it to the DE pool if you want...
