HELP - GPU MINER ISSUES....JUST LEARN HOW TO GPU PLOT BUT NO MINING WITH jMiner

  • I'm having trouble getting everything to work together, I finally figured out to to GPU plot--which certainly makes things much quicker when creating plots. Here are the contents of my makeplot.bat file:

    gpuPlotGenerator makeplot file:

    gpuPlotGenerator generate buffer S://plots/13xxxxxxxxxx0000000_40000_500000_20000

(obviously I've changed the numeric address here)

I had created one with the wallet miner that overlapped and had a number of other NOOB related problems (I clearly didn't know ANYTHING at that point). Regardless, I set up the reward assignment both in the wallet when mangling my first plots last night and today using: http://localhost:8125/rewardassignment.html (entering the pool's burst address and my passphrase). Got the hash back and could see in my wallet it's been confirmed several times. I then created a tiny 10GB test plot, and began plotting about 2TB of remaining space on the drive. I downloaded jMiner, changed the config file (here are the contents):

    jMiner Config.properties:

    # jminer is a PoC (Proof of Capacity) miner with GPU support for Burstcoin (BURST)
    # (openCL will also work with CPU in needed)

    # Requirements:
    # - Java8 (64bit recommend to use more memory)

What obvious steps did I forget? THANK YOU ALL IN ADVANCE FOR ALL OF YOUR HELP! I REALLY APPRECIATE IT AND AM OFFERING A SMALL BOUNTY OF SOME BEER MONEY FOR THE GENIUS THAT GETS ME UP, RUNNING, AND UNDERSTANDING WHAT THE F^(% IS GOING ON.

You see, I plan on selling several of my graphics cards from ETH/DCR/SIA/ETC/EXP mining rigs (most actually) to fund this exciting Burstcoin venture and likely use that money to purchase somewhere in the range of 50-100TB of drive space exclusively for Burst use, my only other crypto will be a small 4 card rig and participation in as a platform owner in the kibolotto offering later this fall. But first, I need to understand what the hell I'm doing so I am able to actually plot and mine that much space in a highly optimized setup (which I'm trying to manage the learning curve on mow and hopefully even MORE profitable than Ethereum mining

    Feltersnatch

  • @Feltersnatch Your setup seems correct, the problem about submitting nonces is that you have chosen a pool that do not accept all the deadlines, but only ones under 345600 (4 days). Check out the pool overview to find the pool that fits your plot size. With 2TB is not a good move mining on pool.burst-team.us: for most of rounds it's like you're not mining because your nonces has not been accepted... No need to tip, service included 😉

  • admin

@Feltersnatch In addition to what Dario had to say, you don't need the :8125 on the pool address, just: poolServer=http://pool.burst-team.us

  • Ops, I forgot it 🙂
