newbie question about dcct miner on ubuntu
-
Hi,
I'm new to POC mining, I'm using DCCT miner on my ubuntu machine, I have two plots of 110 GB each (the second one is plotting) . I'm using http://pool.burstcoin.eu/.
I have no deadline, never, and on the pool I can't see myself in the miners list (I just appeared for a while and than poof).
From the miner I got this output
27 MB read/110 GB total/no deadlineIs it normal? Is there some issue? why just 27 MB read over 110 GB total? Why no deadline?
Thank you

@ccminer 110GB is a small plot, and you won't find many deadlines.
as for the 27MB read - each block the miner reads one of 4096 scoops - the scoops being the data you plotted. 27MB per round * 4096 possible scoops = 110GB.

@ccminer As far as i can see pool.burstcoin.party currently accepts the highest deadlines, so better chance for you to commit/find one. source: http://util.burst-team.us:8888/

@haitch thank you for your reply.
What is a decent amount of gb to get some deadlines?
-
@luxe I'll try the pool you suggest thx

burstcoin.party looks offline or nobody is mining there

@ccminer Try http://pool.burstcoin.party:8081 ... without port it also looks stuck for me.

@luxe thank you
the main issue is that with 220 gb I keep finding 0 deadline.
Is it normal?

@ccminer You will find deadlines (that are low enough for a pool to earn shares), but not in every round. 220GB is very small size ... only way to get more deadlines is add more capacity.

here is the overview for the pools

@BurgerBaron looks interesting I'll take a look thank you!!
