How long can buy orders stay pending?

  • I have some buy orders in place for some assets and they have been pending for a suspicious amount of time. Any reason why?

  • me too having same issue from Energizer Asset

  • It's not the order that is taking that long it's seems more that the transaction is stuck, if a transaction get stuck it can take up to two days to get unstuck, if your wallet is stuck I will recommend to use another wallet for the time being, because any transaction you try to do will also get stuck.

  • Asset purchase stuck for me too. Along with a dividend payment this morning lacking confirmations

  • Many of the members at the casino have been getting the wallet stuck, it started yesterday at around 6 PM EST

  • @Zeus Thanks for the info - I'll keep an eye on it

  • I have been privately contacting haitch about this the wallets got forked. All pending transactions will either reverse or go through. Just needs a while, I have ~40,000 pending for my asset purchase.

  • @AngryChicken I must say it, I love your username and avatar hahaha

  • @Zeus Thanks, @k.coins @jumbolin @kmaxkmax I also was in formed by haitch that you can check this site http://util.burst-team.us:8888/

Check the status column it will show OK if all wallets are in agreement and forked if their is a disagreement in the wallets.

You should login into your wallet through the local wallet instead of the online wallet, the local wallet at least for me states the transaction of my asset purchase through the online wallet doesn't exist. Where as my online wallet says pending since 7pm last night, and shows improper balance.

  • are any of these wallets or assets connected to a peer wallet running 1.2.5?

some of them are, any reason why?

  • @focus This wallet version is a problem I've been trying to mention for sometime. I can see it crippling the coin if a new version is not released that blocks previous versions. I have a feeling this is why polo has been down for 3 days or so.

Transactions involved with that wallet or a block that they made transactions with will freeze it up.

So if you buy an asset and this person on 1.2.5 buys the same asset in the same block poof your transaction failed.

Yes, it will be in the newest release, and it will block 1.2.6 or lower I believe, but from my understanding 1.2.5 should not matter as well

  • @Focus 1.2.5 does matter as it is the problem child. This is the point that falls on deaf ears.

I'm glad to hear about the old version block in the next release!

  • @crutsy After you gave me the list of bad peers I didn't have issues anymore with the wallet 😉

@AngryChicken it doesn't matter wether it's done on your local or the online - if the network is forked, either of the forks could become the real one. It's the transactions on the "wrong" fork that take time to resolve. When the fork happened yesterday, two of the online wallets were on one branch, the other two on the other one. There's no guarantee that your local is correct, it's equally likely to be on the wrong one.

Basically, check the network state before doing any significant transfers/purchases/sales.
