Little question about PLOTS
-
Hello Guys
Well i have a little question.. Today i buy a new HDD 4TB.. and my old one have 1TB..
My question is.. can i create a partition, with all that 4TB and 1TB, i mean extend 1 partition with 2HDDS , and after that plot the partition?
Is in that way how it works when you need to plot 1 partition with some HDDS?
Or how can i do it? I mean.. i wanna have just 1 partition with 4.5 TB , With both HDDS...
I hope you guys understand what i mean. My english sucks a bit.
Can someone explain me how to convert a basic disk to a dynamic one? Or how to plot 1 partition with 2HDDS?
Thanks you all.

@IIOBrocker
You should be able to create a dynamic disk across both drives. You can then map that partition to a letter and use it as a normal drive.

@FrilledShark Ok ty for ur answer, i will check it today.
-
@IIOBrocker Just be aware with a spanned disk, if either drive dies you lose the contents of both.

Btw. you have no benefit creating a bigger partition by combining multiple drives, it is not good for mining. If possible use every single physical drive for mining, no RAID, no Dynamic drives!

@luxe Ok thanks you. I will follow that what u sayd, the truth is feels uselles combining multiple drives.

Very informative thread on hard drives and cameras.
