jminer: Unable to get mining info from wallet

  • @luxe I am seeing the following WARN message in my jminer log. Is this anything to be concerned about? Or can these be safely ignored? Thanks for all of your great work on this application for this community!

    2017-05-08 18:18:55.678  WARN 6532 --- [TaskExecutor-26] b.j.c.n.t.NetworkRequestMiningInfoTask   : Unable to get mining info from wallet.

  • @groupthug Did you set the reward assignment correctly?

  • @p0int_scale Thanks for responding. I have been experimenting with different miners at m.burst4all.com:8124. Yesterday went to http://localhost:8125 and entered my passphrase and the BURST ID for the pool. I have been using different miners, including jminer, at different times, all pointed at the same pool. I am fairly new to this so am trying to see what works best.

  • I just had the same error. My config was wrong at the poolServer :
    poolServer=http://poolofd32th.club:8124/
    instead of
    poolServer=http://poolofd32th.club:8124

    This error is common, I removed it from my config, doesn't add any value to the mining process.

  • I have
    poolServer=http://pool.burst-team.us:8124
    walletServer=
    in my config.
    I'm sure about good connection to the internet.
    And sometimes(!) I see
    "Unable to get mining info from wallet, caused by connectionTimeout, currently '12 sec.' try increasing it!"
    What's wrong with the pool server? What info miner trying to recieve from the server. I don't want the miner waste time on doing this job and waiting for the replies.
    Is it possible to disable getting this info?

  • Hi,

    I get the same message : Unable to get mining info from wallet.
    I tried to do everything I found, but nothing helped.

    Does anyone have a solution?

    @Nebuchadnezzar
    ensure your 'poolServer' is setup correctly and reachable ... to check, take the value from 'poolServer' property and attach '/burst?requestType=getMiningInfo' in your browser, like:

    jminer.properties

    poolServer=http://yourpool.xd

    browser url

    http://yourpool.xd/burst?requestType=getMiningInfo

    If that does not work, it is a issue of the pool, not the miner.
