New to Burstcoin mining, JMiner Gateway Timeout

  • Hey Guys,

so I'm new to Burstcoin mining, I'm trying to get the Jminer running. But I'm getting this error:

Unable to get mining info from wallet: Unexpected character ('<' (code 60)): expected a valid value (number, String, array, object, 'true', 'false' or 'null')

It seems like I'm not reaching the Pool server. The pool I'm using is:
    pool.burstcoin.eu:8124.

I tried chaning my pool but I dont have Burstcoin to pay the Fee, and I already used the faucets. So I'm stuck with this Problem now.

The CPU Miner is giving me this respone:
    BURST miner, v1.170603_AVX2
Programming: dcct (Linux) & Blago (Windows)
CPU support: AES SSE SSE2 SSE3 SSE4.2 AVX AVX2 [recomend use AVX
    2]
    GenuineIntel Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770K CPU @ 3.50GHz [8 cores]
    RAM: 16384 Mb
    Pool address pool.burstcoin.eu (ip 216.165.179.116:8124)
    Updater address pool.burstcoin.eu (ip 216.165.179.116:8124)
    Using plots:
    D:\Burst\plots files: 1 size: 931 Gb
    TOTAL: 931 Gb

    14:29:04 New block 372037, baseTarget 390066, netDiff 46979 Tb
    14:29:07 Thread "D:\Burst\plots" @ 3.3 sec (70.1 MB/s) CPU 34.47%

    14:31:33 New block 372038, baseTarget 420511, netDiff 43578 Tb
    14:31:39 Thread "D:\Burst\plots" @ 6.1 sec (38.1 MB/s) CPU 18.29

Can't say if its working or not.
Is there some way to handle this or do I need Burst? And if yes is there a kind hearted person willing to transfer like 10 Burst so I can get things straight?

    Thank you very much.

    Best regards

@_Javaisland I was trying something on the backend, looks like I might have misdirected the traffic - I've reverted the changes, is jMiner still throwing the error ?

  • I just restarted it, It does not throw the error anymore. Thank you very much.
The assined miners are only 1, does it mean me or all the miners assined to the pool?

  • @haitch It just started throwing the exception again:

Is this due to the pool or am I running something wrong?

  • admin

@_Javaisland That's a different error - that's down to some asshole attacking my infrastructure again. Will see what I can do to mitigate it.

  • @haitch thats fkd up, why would someone attack without any reason?

  • admin

@_Javaisland They have their reasons, it's been happening on and off for months.

  • @haitch assholes... but somehow I don't get that error in the CPU miner, I'm using the same pool there.

  • admin

@_Javaisland This is what the CPU usage on one of the wallets looks like - they all look like this. The wallets are up, but slow. Hopefully whoever is doing it will get bored soon.

  • @haitch its true, it feels very slow. I will let the CPU miner run and try jminer now and then. I will report when GPU mining is available again.
