Xp plotter(integrated in burst wallet), plot speed is 2700 nonces/min. Plotting to my pmr desktop hdd. Plotting as admin. Does anyone know how to increase the plotting speed?

@herriestengel , my guess is you have an older 4 core CPU. You get about 1000 n/min per core, lower clock speeds will yield less than 1k/core higher clocks will get you greater than 1k/core. I have a 32 core unit that plots at 37k n/min. I have an 8 core that plots at 7800 n/min, I have a 4 core that plots at 3700 n/min.

Same, 8 core plotting around 8k n/min. My GPU, RX 460 4GB clocks at 21k. Maybe look at using your GPU instead.

Ah yes all my numbers are for CPU using Xplotter, I don't use my GPUs for plotting.

@rds still jealous of your 32 cores....

@burst.x , I just got it. It was $1600 for 2x XEON CPUS with 36 bays for HDDs. Still waiting for the HDDs, I'm using it now to replot some of my other rig HDDs.

@rds I want to hear more, but I don't want to hijack this thread anymore than we already have. :)

@burst.x So I shouldn't mention my 64 threads? ;)

@haitch & @rds 4x112 cores is right around the corner...
Quad SkylakeSPs https://www.servethehome.com/quadintelxeonplatinum8176initialbenchmarks/ @$50k before storage would yield a theoretical 112k n/min (lol just used a calculator & realized its ~1k/1/4 core for GPU plotting)

4 x Xeon E54650 = 64000 nonces/min ))

@Blago That's my latest Pennywise server .....

I suspect two dual AMD epyc systems at half the cost would fair equally well...
just saying, don't rule out alternative options just yet, more money for HDD's right?
