Is this serious?

According to this almost all big pools are down, which is EVEN worse than the weeks before when some of the biggest pools went down. What is going on here? We need to start acting, now!

Update: The pools came up approx. half an hour after this post. Almost all pools were down. And even now after some of them are up, it's still sad to see that roughly half the pools in the list are still down.

  • This is not right. Almost all pools are up. Look here: http://burstcoin.cc/pool

  • @Akito, you should follow the links in the sheet you posted. Most of the pools are up. The URL for Poolofd32th.Club is wrong; it has changed to pool.poolofd32th.club.

It redirects correctly, therefore it doesn't matter if it is the exact current address. Also as you can see, the "wrong" adress is up in the list, as of now.

  • http://falconburstpool.xyz Is marked with an x and I am mined in that pool correctly, the list is not showing the correct data, right now there are 178 users in this pool

sometimes while the DDOS attacks are happening, the pools are not "reachable" by some of these "is it up" style websites, but the pools will still be accepting deadlines from miners and still function, however the website related functionality is horribly diminished and likely to be the least prioritized portion of the website, as mining is more important than http'ing right?

so even when things appear down, they are up, but you will be severely limited in what you can actually display to show it... its also why some of them will appear to not respond quick enough to satisfy the miner, and it will keep resending deadlines since it was not confirmed, but the pool will have actually received the deadline but its prioritizing other things than responding at that very moment... now of course take this with a grain of salt, because I'm sure there are brief moments when things are down and unreachable, but for the most part, its just this appearance they are down that we've been experiencing, not that they've actually been down...

P.S. and just to demonstrate this, hover your mouse over that spreadsheets "reachable" blue box, it says, "result may be inaccurate" for a reason...

  • Good info, @Darkbane. Thanks.

  • @Darkbane Thanks for the information, I concluded some of this myself, too.
