I can not mine nor change assignement

  • Hello,

I finished plotting of 6TB with the latest wallet and when I am about to start mining, I select the pool from the list and click on the change button but it redirects me into the 404 web page - I can not see two fields where I am supposed to set pool's address and my passphrase.

Does not have Burstcoin wallet some kind of a cache I should erase or something to start from scratch?

This is with the latest wallet which I believe is 0.3.13.

This worked on the previous wallet but I had there this error so I was thinking the update will do the job but it is even worse.

@advicerywo If you can't get to the webpage, your local wallet is not running. You don't need the wallet unless you're solo mining. Use this one:

    https://wallet1.burst-team.us:2083/rewardassignment.html

    Fill in fields 3 & 4.

Thanks I tried that, it charged me 1 burst but nothing changed practically.

All I get when I run miner is this

    BURST miner, v1.170820_AVX
Programming: dcct (Linux) & Blago (Windows)
CPU support: AES SSE SSE2 SSE3 SSE4.2 AVX
    GenuineIntel Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2540M CPU @ 2.60GHz [4 cores]
    RAM: 16384 Mb

And it stays that way ....

    I have this in logs:

Maybe something happens after a while?

  • Huh, this appeared in the logs after a while ...

07:12:51 *! GMI: connect function failed with error: 10060
07:13:13 *! GMI: connect function failed with error: 10060
07:13:35 *! GMI: connect function failed with error: 10060

07:15:25 *! GMI: connect function failed with error: 10060
07:15:47 *! GMI: connect function failed with error: 10060

  • So I googled this and it seems that 10060 means that there is some kind of a timeout on the pool side.

I wanted to change the assignement then but when I do that via link you sent it says

    {"requestProcessingTime":1,"error":"Cannot reassign reward recipient before previous goes into effect: {"senderPublicKey":"62a03065f8aa93d511b3d9da09812e0f1416315113f91a87e7d59e0b6fc89805","signature":null,"feeNQT":100000000,"type":20,"version":1,"ecBlockId":"18190375827633848558","attachment":{"version.RewardRecipientAssignment":1},"subtype":0,"amountNQT":0,"recipient":"11894018496043975481","ecBlockHeight":444746,"deadline":1440,"timestamp":107587225}"}

So it seems to me like I have locked myself? 😃

@advicerywo You're trying to do a reward assignment before the previou one has completed - you need to wait 4 rounds for the assignment to take effect.
