I'm going "read only" on this forum unreliable connections
-
I tried to write 2 medium length posts this morning in response to 2 different mining issues people had, and when I pushed the submit button, the forum was disconnected. After refreshing the page 5 or six time the page reappeared but the response was gone. This forum has the worst uptime I've seen in a long time, it getting worst not better.
My constant banners:
-
same happend to me, it is nearly unusable right now
-
I've restarted the forums server and the proxy, and tweaked the proxy config - and I'm getting good connections now, can you please let me know if you're still having issues.
-
-
@rds Okay, going to put it back through CF and the other proxy, see if that's better.
-
@haitch Okay, so it's back through CF, and CF is going to be the death of me, or at least a nervous break down .....
I had a CF rule that forced an http requests to https, wel CF is not honoring https requests and is instead changing them to http, so my rule triggers and redirects to https which then CF changes to http which my rule then ....... until you get too many redirects.
So the forums are up, and I'm not losing connections, but there's no https currently. I'm working on resolving that.
H.
update: https is working again.
-
@haitch hmm...some 40-50 minutes ago it was speedy, back at the computer now it is lagging, checking the URL, https . I didn't check what URL it was 45 mins ago, though.
CF cant do https reliably ? This is CF's way of selling up - you need a bigger package for THAT many users.
-
@haitch , I just put up a couple of post, seems much better, we'll see
-
@vaxman The cert and a setting apparently were removed when I changed the DNS entry over to the other proxy, and with out that it was forcing everything over http. By re-adding the cert and setting I could change it over to https. Without it, it was getting stuck in a re-direct loop until I took away my rule.
-
@rds , back to the old way. It worked for about 30 minutes.
-
It's been frankly unusable for the last couple of days, but now everything seems fairly stable - thanks for your efforts, @haitch
-
@tinycoins Yeah, not sure what happened - it seemed okay after I switched the proxies, then overnight on Monday the wheels seem to have fallen off. I've made some change to the CF and proxy setups, and so far it's seemed okay ...... touch wood.
-
Intermittent for me, has been for the last couple of months. I'm sure you'll eventually get to the bottom of this and thanks for the hard work so far Haitch, you're a good man
-
Yeah, I have been having these intermittent connection issues for the last couple of months as well.
Just had it happen about 2 minutes ago. Right now it's ok, but I better hurry and hit submit before my connection is lost.
-
With the help of @LithStud it seems the forums problem is fixed. If you do experience any issues, please let me know.
-
"Looks like your connection to Burst - Efficient HDD Mining was lost, please wait while we try to reconnect."
The connections is still bad.
-
@dawallet try to ctrl+F5 so nothing is loaded from cache and also delete cookies (will need to relogin). Its now way better just after some time it might hang (in wich case simple refresh on page helps).
-
@haitch ,Forum response is bad and 0-100 is showing 13 blocks behind.
-
@rds Pool was down to wallet crash - ran out of Java Heap space.
The forums must be cloudlare as if I bypass it the forums are lightning fast. I'll see what I can do.
-
@haitch
Is this the new server you've been building? I haven't been able to get stable connection for a while now on the forum and my pool (falconburstpool).
