How can I back up my Burst Wallet?
-
@wingless save the passphrase on a usb stick and hide it could be one option. or print out on paper. i store mine in a password manager named "keepass" and i have several backups of that database

Text file with your pass phrase on Dropbox is good too if u the only one that has access to it.

Thanks for all the reply guys, it's nice to finally have this cleared up!

How I do backup is simple. copy the directory of wallets installed location somewhere else or do so in a compressed archive.
-
@zapbuzz you can make a backup of the blockchain, but not your personal wallet itself.
You could perhaps carve your passphrase into the bark of a tree in a location known only to you.
-
alright @tinycoins the blockchain.

Personally, I like the tree idea. You are cutting out the middle man as well

Don't do that. That's a good way to lose your entire portfolio. You're trusting dropbox to keep your files secure. Even if they don't get hacked, your personal account could.
Instead, put that txt file on a usb drive or external HDD. I wouldn't even keep it on your local drive, for fear of malware.

True, unless the middle man is a tech-savvy lumberjack.
