Talon Power Asset still alive and kicking...
After some delay, received a nice payout again!
Just as a warning/note... when using the AIO client to switch mining pools, it still uses the old addresses for those pools
not the new ones
@haitch I'm interested to know, which script are you using for your pool(s) ?
Tried to set the reward recip address again, now it seems to stick
I keep getting the message below
[ERROR 1004] Your Burst account's reward recipient (7Z2V-J9CF-NCW9-HWFRY) does not match pool's account (9UXJ-H8LW-5Q7X-
You need change reward assignment and wait 4 blocks (~16 minutes)
although I did make the change :
Date Amount + Fee Account Conf.
7/14/2017 13:44:23 0 + 1 BURST-9UXJ-H8LW-5Q7X-A7WC2 10+
7/14/2017 09:18:19 0 + 1 BURST-7Z2V-J9CF-NCW9-HWFRY 5
what else can I do?
@haitch correct, it was a type error, I meant 8124.
I had to reboot the machine... killing the processes was not enough, after the 2nd reboot, it connected fine
it is mining again
I'll try again with the new address manually
the AIO wallet still has the old address when trying to switch mining pool
but for now, i cannot connect to pool.burstcoin.eu with the miner, the miner just hangs
I've the same problem, first with pool.burstcoin.eu, then with pool.burstcoin.biz
each time, the reward assignment I set via the AIO wallet, was not the correct one
when I checked on the page of the pool directly, it was a different one.
are pools being hacked?
Don't get me wrong, I want to believe in Burst, as the whole concept seems promising and valuable.
(I'm preparing and plotting HDD's as I can, I'm at 16TB on my personal expense, and I'm planning to add more, if the value is right)
BUT being a beginner in Burst, I hope you can understand the frustration, when things are more unavailable than available (at least, that is the impression the last few weeks)
When I come home from work and want to do something with Burst, when trying to access the wallet to look or do something, 2 out of 3 times, it does not work, is offline, crashes, .... Or see that the pool was not accessible again for hours (or longer) so the minder has been working for nothing. (I was mining on the EU pool, but because it was offline 60% of the time, I switched to lexitoshi, which was stable, but seems to have some problems the last 2 days, and is offline now)
And as mentioned earlier, the forum here is non-responsive or very slow half of the time (from Europe, and I'm talking about the site, not the people of course). It took 30 minutes trying to submit this message.
Combine all that, it is very frustrating for a Burst beginner. (I'm an IT tech/consultant, but not a developer)
So what can be done to bring more stabiltiy?
Maybe publish a list or report of all the abuse and attack attempts somewhere, so the Burst community can study and help with solutions
So, in what way can we access or manage our burst?
Is there anyone from the burst-team.us who can give some feedback?
Is burst really still alive or being abandoned?
(the forum here is also incredibly slow, trying for 30 minutes, to submit this response)
I'm now using the online wallet at burstnation, that one seems to be stable.
I also was thinking of sharing a weekly db file ... but with torrent, you have to create a new torrent each time you want to share a new version.
I can do something like I'm doing for the Ethereum wallet : I created a batchfile which generates a new export every week or every few days, zip it, copy it to my public dropbox folder. Dropbox takes care of the upload
